From Healing People to Restoring Beauty: A Nurse’s Journey into Luxury Renewal
Hi, I’m Annie McConnell. For over 44 years, I’ve dedicated my life to nursing, providing compassionate care to those in need. As the owner of Tender Care Home Health and Hospice located in Texas and New Mexico, I’ve seen firsthand how renewal—whether in health or in the cherished objects we hold dear—can bring comfort and meaning.
About four years ago, after navigating the challenges of the nursing crisis during COVID, my physician encouraged me to find a hobby for balance. That’s when I rediscovered a passion from my childhood—restoring jewelry and accessories with my mother, Mary Lou Bulloch. Inspired by those cherished memories, I immersed myself in the art of refurbishing luxury items—watches, jewelry, and purses—giving them new life, just as I had done for my patients.
Today, through Renewed Elegance, I bring that same dedication to every piece I restore. Each item tells a story—of resilience, craftsmanship, and a second chance at beauty. And because care and compassion remain at the heart of everything I do, a portion of my store’s profits goes toward supporting unfunded hospice patients, ensuring they receive dignity and comfort in their final moments.
I would like to invite you to explore my collection and be part of this journey. Thank you for supporting a mission that blends artistry, renewal, and Tender care.
